The cream blush you need in your life...

Okay y’all, this is one of those products that I LOVE so much that I had to dedicate a blog post to it. Let’s be honest…it’s the dead of winter. Most of us haven’t seen the sun or gotten much color in a few months. It’s funny, I used to be obsessed with being tan and having color…spray tans, tanning lotions, etc. As I’ve gotten older and wiser though, I’ve started to embrace my skin and protect it! It’s all I’ve got for the rest of my life and I want it to be as healthy as possible! With that being said, I could definitely use a bit of color in this drab season. Enter, this cream blush! It’s amazing you guys. Here’s what I love about it:

1 It’s attainable financially. I know Beautycounter can be just out of reach for some people, but this product is $38 and will last close to a year so I think that’s a pretty good deal.

2 It is easy to apply and blend in.

3 It look NATURAL. It almost gives you that pink natural glow like after you’ve been outside on a really cold day. I mean this in the best way!

4. You can use it on your lips and lids as well!!!

Instagram (My friend Katie sells Beautycounter and also shares lots of tips and ideas for living a more toxic free life!)

To purchase directly from site, follow this link: Color Pinch Cream Blusher (I wear the blush in the color umber. It looks like a scary color but it’s actually so pretty and natural once it’s on!)

Snoqualmie with Stag + Sparrow Photography

Last weekend we had the immense pleasure of collaborating with Charlotte photographers Stag and Sparrow. Through the amazing connections on Instagram, we found each other while they were visiting Seattle and we were able to meet up and shoot together! They were so lovely and made us feel so comfortable. We took these at the base of Snoqualmie falls and the weather held out that day thank goodness. Having my hubby along for this one made it extra special. We’ll treasure these photos forever!

If you are a friend in Charlotte and like the vibe of this shoot, definitely look them up! I’ve linked their site below. They also travel around the country quite a bit so there is an opportunity for those of you in other cities as well!

I’m off to celebrate our daughter Mae’s 9th birthday today! Hope you all are having a lovely week! XO, Anna

How to style denim on denim

Today I want to talk about the head to toe denim trend. Denim has been around for years and years and I don’t see it ever going out of style. I love pairing jean pieces especially for spring, which will be here before we know it! I think the key for this look is keeping it interesting and slightly edgy. I personally am not a fan of the “preppy” look so I like the idea of pairing a jean shirt with a wide leg trouser like pictured above. Or you can do a skinny jean with a more billowy top and finish off the look with a cool black pair of Adidas or Converse, or with an ankle boot with some edge to it.

Keep shapes in mind when you’re putting your outfit together. Remember, fitted top + looser jeans OR a loose fitting top with skinny jeans. Mix it up and I think it’ll look so great!

Hope this helps if you’re looking to rock the denim on denim trend this year! Happy Monday and thanks for stopping by!!

Some denim pieces I love:

Denim jacket

Classic skinny jeans

Wide leg jeans

Oversized denim shirt (perfect with skinny jeans)
