Yep, it's that time of year again. School has begun. It's 7 a.m, and you are frantically running through your house looking for your child's favorite shirt/socks/underwear and thinking, wait a second, WHAT ABOUT ME? What can I throw on as fast as possible without looking like a complete disaster??? First things first. How about a quick sweep of concealer under the eye and maybe a quick eyelash curl? Maybe some bronzer/blush if there's time. Next, your wardrobe. It may be possible that you will wear the shirt you slept in. Just maybe. Slip on some comfy jeans. Maybe leave them out somewhere handy the night before so you can just grab them. The less effort involved, the more likely you are to actually take off your pajama pants. Lastly, the shoes. This, in my humble opinion, is the most important part. If at all possible, lose the running shoes and flip flops. Try a cute ballet flat, flat ankle boots, or if you must wear a sneaker type shoe, make it a pair of converse or vans. Throw on your leather jacket, if you have one. Now grab your lunch boxes, water bottles, and back packs. Oh, and don't forget your kids. Good luck out there. School mornings can be rough. I swear just feeling a bit more put together will make you feel a little better and will start your day off on the right foot. I hope you all have a great school year!
