Holiday florals, and why change is a good thing

I love this dress so much.  It's completely out of my comfort zone to wear something like this, but I think that's why I like it.  I love the long sleeves and the key hole in the front.  So pretty and feminine for a holiday party.  I paired it with a black bootie to keep it edgy, but a pretty heel would look nice too.

I think change is a good thing.  It's good to be ever evolving and growing.  I think keeping things the same can sometimes make you feel stagnant, and like you don't deserve more.  (Especially for all those new moms out there!)  Some women just need a little push.  A push to change and grow!  Here's a great example:  have you had the same hairstyle or cut for 10 or 20 years?  Maybe it's time for a change.  I'm not saying you have to go platinum like I did, but maybe cut some bangs.  Add some layers.  Cut it a bit shorter.  Shorter hair always has more bounce and swing to it than long, stringy hair.  I think it makes you look younger too!

Also, try changing up your makeup look.  If you've been using the same liner/shadow/lipstick since high school, try softening it or going bolder!  If you feel at a loss with this change, head to Sephora.  They may think of a color palette that never occurred to you, which may result in you looking better than ever!

I love fashion, hair and makeup so much, and though it may sound silly, I do believe it's a great way to get creative, artistic, and express who you are and how you are feeling that day.  It's a powerful thing and can strongly affect your confidence.  Which let's face it, I think ALL women can use a boost of confidence...and change can bring about that new found confidence!  It's taken me way too long to figure that out, but better late than never.  Cheers to change!
