Chalkboard paint backsplash

In yet another insane attempt to change up our home with little and interesting touches, I took to painting our back splash with black chalk board paint yesterday.  I am usually thrilled with my updates and creative ideas, but this one.....not so sure. I am in panic mode and think I need to now paint the rest of my walls plain white as the black back splash seems to clash with the mint green in the rest of the kitchen.  Stay tuned as I attempt to fix this by adding a pretty chandelier, some flowers, and possibly a fresh coat of white paint everywhere else! Yikes....I've really done it this time...
