Lightly curled

For those of you who have been following Honestly West from the beginning, you may have seen my last video showing how I curl my hair, but for you newbies out there, I thought I'd give it a go again.  I am super picky when it comes to how I curl my hair...(as I am with everything I suppose) and I REALLY try to avoid having too much curl.  More of a light curl or 'bend' is really what's in right now.  Here are my main tricks...also keep in mind...it looks better after a few hours!  So I usually do it in the morning if I'm going out that night or doing something special, because it actually looks better after it's settled a little bit.

1.  Snag a reverse rod curling wand (make sure it's pretty wide so you avoid tight ringlet type curls.)

2.  Only SLIGHTLY bend the pieces at the front of your face.  You basically want them straight, with only a little wave.

3.  Only curl the middle section of hair.  Leave out the roots, and definitely leave out the bottom 1-2 inches of hair.  This is what gives it that cool girl, relaxed vibe.  You want the ends to be straight and relaxed looking.

4.  Hair spray!

That's it!!!
