The return...

Seattle, I’ve returned. It hasn’t been an easy road. I feel like life would have been a lot easier and more comfortable to just stay put in North Carolina. It was safe. Familiar… but we knew that wan’t the right thing to do. We knew we HAD to leave. I’m slowly making my way out of the fog. Shooting with my new friend Karla at Pike Place Market was a great start. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting her, you are missing out. I felt connected to her the minute we met, like we were destined to become friends and work together. It’s funny because I don’t feel that way about people very often.

If you’ve followed along with me on this journey, than you know that Seattle is technically home to me. This is where I grew up. It’s weird though, because in a way, everything is different. Navigating our new home town of Edmonds, reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, continuing this blogging journey, getting the kids somewhat settled, even finding a few ballet studio…it hasn’t been easy. I’ve cried A LOT. 3 times this week, in fact. The one thing I know though is that you HAVE to go through the growing pains to get to a better place. A rolling stone grows no moss, right? You have to push yourself WAY out of what’s comfortable and familiar to get to the next sweet spot in your life. I’m not there yet, but getting a glimpse of it. Karla has made me remember why I love shooting/blogging so much. I won’t stop until I succeed…

Thanks for reading friends. I love having you by my side as we all continue our journey on this crazy life we lead…
