We need to have the eyeliner talk...

Alright people, it's time. Time to talk about the controversial thing called too much eyeliner. I love eyeliner, don't get me wrong...but it's one of those things many people wear too much of. My favorite brand for a smooth easy application is by Makeup Forever. If however, you are on a budget, Nyx works pretty well also. I love that you can find a self sharpening eyeliner by both brands. Who has time to sharpen their eyeliner with an old school sharpener anyway, I mean really?? My favorite way to wear it is understated. I highly advise just wearing it on your upper waterline. That way it adds definition and darkness without looking too dark. If you absolutely MUST wear it on the bottom for whatever reason, I also recommend only putting it on your waterline. If you put it down below your lashes, it looks too dark! It actually makes your eye appear smaller and then all you see is the line instead of your beautiful eyes!! You want to avoid looking like a racoon. Another idea for those of you who really like something under your bottom lashes... try an eye shadow. It sounds weird, but many times I'll put on my shadow like normal on my lids, and then I'll go back under my lashes with a tiny angle brush and just add a bit of that same shadow under my lashes. You need to smear it a bit though so it's subtle and not too harsh. I highly encourage you all to take a look at your eyeliner routine, and try changing it up a bit. Just leave off the bottom liner for 1 day, and see if people notice or say anything. I guarantee they will. And remember, if you still want to play up the eyes, curl them and add loads of mascara. You can still look done up and pretty without having all that excess liner on your eyes.
