While standing on the edge of a cliff...what will you choose?

Good afternoon, friends. I feel a calling to write some of my feelings down today during this unsettling time. Things in the world are scary right now. We’re dealing with something that we never have before, (at least not in our lifetime.)

Kids are home. Parents are working from home…if they even still have a job. Businesses are shut down and there’s a roar and ripple affect felt throughout our entire planet.

Here’s the thing that irks me. We ALL are stressed, confused, scared, have different opinions about this virus all together, and are at an all time high level of anxiety. The thing I don’t understand is why we’re turning on each other. I HATE that there are only 2 political parties in our country. I feel like it’s completely dividing us, and it’s such a shame. My husband and I often talk about how there need to be 3 or 4 parties so that it isn’t this great divide. It’s truly scary to me how mean people can be if someone has an opposing viewpoint.

NOW is the time. We are standing on the edge of a cliff here, so what will you choose? To spread hatred, or unfriend those who don’t have the same beliefs as you do? Post articles on social media without fact checking? Continue to ignore our friends who have a reason to feel differently about life?? We are driving ourselves into the ground.

What we need right now is unity. Understanding. Compassion. For God’s sake, if this doesn’t inspire us to change and truly begin to accept each other, WHAT WILL????

I beg you, for our sake and our children’s sake, take off the boxing gloves. Try to understand one another. And stay home.
