Good morning! Can you tell I’ve been on a major denim kick lately? I’ve always loved denim everything, and I think it’s because I was raised on the west coast. Things are just more relaxed here, so denim pieces fit with that laid back style perfectly. I’ve always love a little distressing, but if that’s not your thing, there are plenty of options out there! Here’s to Monday! I hope you all have a lovely and productive week!

My top 3 favorite brands for denim

Happy Friday! I wanted to take a second to talk about denim today. It is so hard to find the perfect pair at a good price, am I right? I have tried SO many different brands…seven for all mankind were big for a while, Citizens of humanity, Hudson, Madewell, (both of my Madewell jeans ripped which I find very ironic!) but what it comes down to for me is fit and price.

After trying all of these jeans over the years, I’ve been happiest with 3 brands in particular, so I’ve linked a few for you all!

1 Levis. Levi’s are hands down my favorite right now because they are affordable, fit well, and there are a million styles to choose from. I always go for high waisted! Here is a link to all of their high rise jeans and they are all on sale right now!!

2. Topshop. Y’all know I love topshop. They are always on trend and the price points are just SO good! They are always under $100! Check them out here.

3. Free people is my last favorite brand for denim. Lots of good flared options which can be so fun for spring and summer! Think concerts, picnics, dinners with friends. So many good options here and they often have sales so they’re attainable if you’re on a budget!

How to style denim on denim

Today I want to talk about the head to toe denim trend. Denim has been around for years and years and I don’t see it ever going out of style. I love pairing jean pieces especially for spring, which will be here before we know it! I think the key for this look is keeping it interesting and slightly edgy. I personally am not a fan of the “preppy” look so I like the idea of pairing a jean shirt with a wide leg trouser like pictured above. Or you can do a skinny jean with a more billowy top and finish off the look with a cool black pair of Adidas or Converse, or with an ankle boot with some edge to it.

Keep shapes in mind when you’re putting your outfit together. Remember, fitted top + looser jeans OR a loose fitting top with skinny jeans. Mix it up and I think it’ll look so great!

Hope this helps if you’re looking to rock the denim on denim trend this year! Happy Monday and thanks for stopping by!!
